Our Story
How It Started
Person Centered Recovery Services was co-founded by Amanda Toal and Corey Craw — two individuals in long-term recovery who first met while attending Recovery Coach University (RCU) to earn their CARC certifications.
Their paths crossed during a virtual recovery coaching training, where Amanda naturally stepped up to lead during a moment of unexpected technical difficulty. Her initiative left a strong impression on both facilitators, who recommended her to the founder of RCU. That moment marked the beginning of her journey as a professional facilitator and administrator on the Recovery Coach University team — and the start of both Amanda and Corey’s careers as recovery coaches.
What started as a shared experience rooted in service, lived experience, and a deep desire to make a difference soon became something more. Amanda and Corey met in person, fell in love, and now share not only a beautiful family but also a united mission: to create person-centered recovery services that honor the full humanity of every person on the journey.
Together, they founded PCRS to build the kind of space they once longed for — a supportive, holistic, and empowering environment for individuals, families, and peer professionals alike.
“We didn’t just build a service — we built the support we wish we had.”
— Amanda & Corey, Co-Founders
